India (2011-2012)

Our first project involved the support of Operation ASHA, an Indian-American development organization. The main tasks of the organization consist of the prevention and treatment of TB in urban slums and impoverished rural regions in India and Cambodia. Our local support consisted of assistance in New Delhi, India by our CEO Luan Vo, who assumed the role of “Director of Corporate Development and Finance.” In this role, Luan Vo prepared the development of strategic partnerships with organizations such as the German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association (GLRA) and led the expansion of Operation ASHA to Vietnam. Furthermore, our society assisted Operation ASHA during the staging of online events through the dissemination of these events through the personal networks of our society’s members. One of these events contributed to placing second in a contest to win a prize money of $5,000.
